Garima Sharma

Garima Sharma is currently VP, Product & Strategy at Skybound Entertainment, where she leads the direct-to-consumer and e-commerce businesses. With 11+ years of global media experience, Garima has created dozens of scalable products across industries, working with some of the biggest brands and global celebrities. She has also spearheaded several highly successful Kickstarters, including The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, Shady Agents and Joking Hazard, which have been featured in publications such as The Hollywood Reporter, Polygon, Destructoid, Entrepreneur, Variety, etc.

Garima moved to the US in 2015 pursue her Master’s in Media Ventures from Boston University, after trailblazing her way through the Indian media industry for 6+ years at The Hindustan Times, and the Times of India. During her tenure as a journalist and media executive in India, she led editorial strategy for several media platforms. Some of her notable projects include implementing Augmented Reality across Times of India’s print products to create transactional revenue, implementing editorial strategy for a global initiative with the government of British Columbia, etc. She also has over 2000 bylined articles to her credit, including interviews with Lady Gaga, Baz Luhrmann, AR Rahman, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Steven Spielberg, etc.

After graduating from BU, Garima lead strategy, product development and marketing for Studio 71 US’ portfolio of influencer, content and direct-to-consumer businesses for 3+ years. Now at Skybound, she creates scalable businesses and products at the intersection of media, technology and entertainment.

Garima holds a MS from Boston University, a PG diploma from the Mudra Institute of Communication (Ahmedabad), as well as BA & MA degrees from the University of Delhi.
